The Philadelphia Eagles are far below the New England Patriots before the final game of the season. The Patriots have an experienced team, the best rated midfielder in history, Tom Brady and the defending champion before entering the Super Bowl.
However, defender Brandon Graham was the one to put an end to the Patriots with a mighty breakthrough to win the ball in Tom Brady’s hands, helping the Eagles finish the game 41-33. This was the Super Bowl championship for the first time in the history of the team after three times the NFL national championship in 1948, 1949 and 1960.
Midfielder Nick Foles has led his teammates through four chase runs with the Patriots to receive the title of Most Valuable Player of the Super Bowl. This is unbelievable when Foles arrived in Philadelphia in March 2017 as a backup player.
It was not until the 14th round, the 1989 midfielder was allowed to play football instead of Carson Wentz injured. In the Super Bowl, Foles succeeded 28 times out of 43 pitches, creating three touches at the end of the pitch.
Foles overcame the shadow of Tom Brady, who won the Super Bowl and was voted MVP four times. In the match where Brady did not perform well, the loopholes of the Patriots made them pay the price. The ball shots directly into Foles’s centerline and LeGarrette Blount’s breakthrough ability as well as Corey Clement opened the victory for the Eagles.
Meanwhile, the Eagles’ defense also has an excellent day of competition as in most of this season. Graham’s situation caused Brady to drop the ball and let Derek Barnett win when the match was only about two minutes away when the Philadelphia fans saw the Super Bowl title.
Entering the battle as a champion, the Patriots have a great expectation to successfully defend the throne, when the house rate is given to the Eagles to 5.5 points. Tom Brady is the most talked about name in the number one sports event in the United States with the opportunity to become the first player to have six Super Bowl champions.
